Sarah’s Journey in Uganda: [Latest Updates & fundraising event]

Three Months On: A Mission to Make a Difference

Three months ago, Sarah set out on a journey to Uganda, unsure of what to expect but eager to make a difference. From the moment she arrived, she was met with breathtaking landscapes and some of the kindest, most welcoming people. At the heart of her trip was the One Love Project—a school providing education, meals, and a safe space for over 220 children, many of whom are orphaned or have disabilities.

The experience was overwhelming in the best way possible. Seeing the joy in these children’s faces despite their hardships was humbling, and knowing that the funds raised were making a real impact filled her with gratitude. From providing new school shoes to supporting struggling families in the local community, every moment was a reminder of why this work matters.

Now, three months on, she has some updates to share.

It's hard to believe that nearly three months have passed since my charity trip to Uganda!

Many of you may have read my newsletter, where I shared the details of my journey. If you did, you'll know that I returned with a mission: to help a mother and her triplets who were left homeless and hungry after their father abandoned them with nothing.

What I witnessed will stay with me forever, and I felt compelled to make a difference to their lives.

I'm incredibly grateful to share that, thanks to the generosity of my family and friends, I have raised enough money to secure land for this family. This was finalised last week, marking a historic moment - the first time in generations that anyone in their family has owned land.

The next step is to build them a safe and secure home. I already have some funds to begin the process, and my plan is to return to Uganda in October to see the build completed.

In the meantime, I have arranged monthly food deliveries for the family, and next week, the triplets will begin school at The One Love Project, a huge step towards a brighter future for them. I am committed to continuing to raise funds for this project, and any additional donations will go toward supporting other children and families when I return in October! 💗
