Profhilo Structure is pure hyaluronic acid, and it is designed to be injected into the superficial fat pads of the face to offer subtle lifting and tightening effects that help to improve laxity seen in the lower cheek and jowl area.
Profhilo Structura is an advanced version of the traditional Profhilo treatment, specifically designed for more targeted and structural improvements. It not only hydrates and firms, but also addresses more pronounced signs of aging and volume loss.

Rather than working its magic on the skin (although it does that too) Profhilo Structura regenerates superficial fat pads of the face. It's these fat pads that give our face support and structure in our younger years, but as we age, they shrink and migrate South, creating 'sagging' in the lower face. Structura is placed into the superficial fat pads to create lift and contour to the lower face.
The clinical studies conclude that 96% of patients felt an improvement after the first treatment, and this positive judgement was maintained three months after the first treatment.
A persistent improvement was clearly visible in the mid face (cheeks) and lower third (jawline and down-turned corners of the mouth).
The treatment was well tolerated, and no adverse reaction were reported.

Treatment time is just minutes. The treatment is generally well tolerated and most stated that it was not painful and that some pressure was left when placing the product using cannula.
Downtime is approximately 24hrs - However, you can return to work straight after, but will probably have some visible bumps under the skin.
Two treatments are required four weeks apart.

Preparation

• No invasive facial treatments such as chemical peels, dermal filler or skin boosters
• No Laser Hair Removal/IPL treatments on the face

• No depilatory use on face

• Avoid alcohol due to increased risk of bruising

All make up will be removed prior to treatment, where possible please arrive at clinic make up free. For 24 hours prior to treatment, avoid alcohol, asprin, ibuprofen, St John’s Wort, fish oils, Gingko Biloba and vitamins C & E as they can contribute towards bruising.
The injections sting briefly, but on the whole this passes quickly. Following treatment you will notice raised area’s where the Profhilo has been injected. These usually go down in 6-24hrs. There have been reports that this has lasted 2-3 days for some patients.
Full aftercare instructions will be given to you on leaving clinic.
Aftercare

Immediately after treatment there may be slight redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness, itching sensation in the treated area.
These reactions are temporary and generally disappear in a few days. If it continues or if other reactions occur, please contact your practitioner at the clinic.
Avoid touching, manipulating or massaging the treatment area for 24 hours after the treatment. After that the area can be washed with a gentle cleanser and sterile make-up can be applied.
Until the initial swelling and redness have resolved, do not expose the treated area to intense heat (e.g, solarium and sunbathing) or extreme cold. Avoid strenuous exercise and swimming to avoid risk of infection

Avoid alcohol for 24hrs post treatment

Apply SPF 50 sunscreen.
