Medical Grade peels
What Are medical grade Peels?
A medical grade peel is a way of exfoliating the skin. It’s called a ‘chemical peel’ because it causes a biochemical reaction in the skin (not because we use chemicals). The low PH of a peel solution which is applied like a face mask or painted onto the skin, will encourage the velcro-like bonds that keep dead skin cells attached to the skin to dissolve. When that dead skin is gone, the body replaces it with healthy new skin, helping to improve ageing skin, acne, pigmentation and rosacea.

At SKINLAB we use AlumierMD Chemical peels and medical grade products to increase the effectiveness of the peel. We are currently undertaking case studies on all four skin concerns; Ageing skin, acne, pigmentation, and rosacea.

If chemical peels are something you are considering to target your skin concern we will welcome you into our clinic. However this treatment does come with a required level of commitment, the regime you follow at home with medical-grade skincare products between chemical peels is as important as the care we give to you whilst in clinic.
-
On the day of treatment, we ask you to present with no make-up. If this is not possible we will remove it for you. Pre-treatment pictures will be taken for your medical notes. A full consultation to determine your skin type/condition will enable us to prescribe a bespoke chemical peel package for you. Your skin will be prepared ready for treatment, using our AlumierMD professional products. The chemical peel will then be applied. Following treatment, you will be given both verbal and written aftercare instructions, and supplied with a complimentary AlumierMD post-procedure skincare pack.
-
Your journey does not end there. SKINLAB is committed to excellent patient care; we are available for you to contact at any time post-procedure. Contact numbers will be given to you.
