Should I Switch to a Summer Skincare Routine?

Switching up your skincare routine for the new season is absolutely not a trend or a fad! Seasonal switching is all about understanding what your skin needs at different stages, whether that's because of changes in your life or in the seasons. Warmer weather and humid air mean our skin sweats more and produces more oil. This can lead to breakouts, especially if we don't spend enough time cleansing skin.

The heavy moisturising serums and creams that worked so well in winter can leave skin feeling overloaded and greasy looking in summer. Switching to a lighter serum and hydrator is advisable.

Ultimate Boost Serum and Hydralight are both perfect examples of a lighter moisturiser for summer. These can be purchased in clinic or on our online portal if you have been registered.

Treatment Planning

Whilst we don't want to wish summer away seeing it has only just arrived, now is a good time to start thinking about your skin goals for the year ahead so you can implement a plan of action over Autumn/Winter. This is the best time to have treatments such as microneedling, chemical peels, and laser for rosacea and pigmentation. If you are unsure of what you need treatment wise, it's always best to book a skin analysis. This gives us 45 minutes to discuss your concerns, scan your skin and develop a treatment plan with you.
