Important Sun Exposure Guidelines for Your SKINLAB Treatments
Finally, a bit of long awaited sunshine! 🔆
Without wanting to be a killjoy, if you are having certain treatments at SKINLAB it's extremely important to ensure you are following the rules regarding sun exposure for the treatments listed below:
laser hair removal
NO ACTIVE TANNING in the area being treated. This includes sun beds and self tanning products. If you are going on holiday, please ensure that you do not have your laser sessions within 2 weeks of going away, and you must book a patch test 4-6 weeks after you get back prior to re-starting your course of treatment. This is an insurance policy requirement, but most importantly, it is for your safety to minimise the risk of BURNS!
It's important to think about the area you are having treated. Legs and face especially, as they are areas regularly exposed to the sun during our warmer months. Care must be taken to protect these areas with SPF and to cover up where possible. If you have any tan at all, you cannot have your laser session, as there is a high risk of burns.
Thread Vein Removal/IPL/Rosacea
