CHECKING YOUR MOLES

At SKINLAB, as we welcome you through our doors each week, we've observed our fair share of skin concerns. Over time, we've encountered numerous instances where we've detected suspicious-looking lesions or moles during treatments.

On these occasions, our strong advice to get these checked by your GP has proven crucial. In fact, just last year, two of our clients heeded our advice and were diagnosed with skin cancer, leading to timely surgical intervention.

In today's climate, accessing GP services can be challenging, and the thought of private dermatology fees ranging from £200- £300 can be daunting.

That’s why we have recently joined forces with Map My Mole, a fantastic initiative by UK based dermatologists who have recognised the need for quicker access to get your moles checked.

If you have a mole, or moles that are concerning you, and you cannot get an appointment with your GP to get them checked, you can now book an appointment at SKINLAB.

We will take your medical history, followed by capturing images of the mole/s using a dermatascope. The images are then submitted for review by one of the Map My Mole dermatologists.

Your in-depth report will be sent back within 48hrs of submission.

This report will determine whether your mole/s need further investigation, and a report can be sent to your GP to speed up this process.
